A S Motorsport Ltd Spring Open Day 2013.

A S Motorsport Ltd held their annual Spring Open Day on the 27th April.

The event has evolved from it's original theme as a hands on spanner day into a magnet for local clubs and enthusiasts.
Amongst the regular faces and visitors were a large group from the local Piston Heads club. It is Darren from this club that I have to thank for the pictures used in this blog post.

This year we were pleased to have two cars in progress in the main workshop.

We assembled a rolling chassis for display.

The chassis is shown here in it's bare shot blasted state prior to our two stage protection system of KeyPhos primer followed by original blue powder coat.

This is a GRP car in the process of being fitted with Aluminium Panels. Boot and doors completed with just the bonnet to do. Next stage is off to the body shop to swap with an aluminium bodied car being painted.

Early stage interior fit.

Workshop two was stuffed with a team of four DBR's - Three completed customer cars plus our company demo car.
