Two Aluminium ASM DBR's for Goodwood Revival

The time machine kicks in again for Goodwood Revival's delightful recreation of an earlier period this month and AS Motorsport will be joining in the spirit with not one but two of our ASM DBR Le Mans aluminium bodied cars.
The cars will be on display on stand numbers 157 - 158 which is on the periphery of the Revival Market area slightly to the North of the 'Over the Road' gate. This is slightly further along the row from our usual stand space of the last four years.
We are very pleased to be exhibiting the car pictured here at the 2011 Revival event with kind permission from its owner. The car has a 4.2 litre Jaguar XK engine fitted with triple Webers and a five speed gearbox. After being on show at Goodwood the car will be taking a long trip to Germany so we will have fingers crossed for kind weather.
Also on show in bare aluminium will be our current build which has just returned from the body shop. The customer for this car decided to fit an Aston Martin straight six 4.2 litre complete with a twin plug race head and triple Weber carburettors. To complete the period feel, a David Brown four speed gearbox with overdrive unit complete the driveline.
The car features a few customer specified details. The most obvious being the removeable roll bar for track day use.
We were able able to make sure the owner was fully comfortable with some custom made seat shells upholstered with 'memory foam' under the green leather. These place the driver in a much more vertical position compared to the standard reclined bucket seat and also has allowed more fore / aft adjustment to suit different drivers.
